Awards

The College congratulates our members on receiving the following awards for their outstanding achievements:

College Affiliates

Prof Thomas CHUNG, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, has been selected for the Research Excellence Award 2021–22 of CUHK.

Prof Owen KO, Associate Professor, Department of Medicine and Therapeutics and Assistant Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Medicine has been selected as an inaugural 2023 Fellow of ‘Asian Young Scientist Fellowship (AYSF)’.

The Pingtan Children's Library (in the Dong Minority village of Pingtan, Hunan Province), designed and built by Prof Peter FERRETTO at CUHK School of Architecture and his team at Condition_Lab, has received the World Interior of the Year Award and the Best Use of Natural Light Prize at the World Architecture Festival 2022.

Prof WONG Suk-Ying, College Master, and Professor, Department of Sociology has received the University's 25-year Long Service Award.

‘Literary CUHK’ Essay Competition

Two students won silver awards in the seventh ‘Literary CUHK’ essay competition (2021–22) organised by the Department of Chinese Language and Literature.

CUHK Tennis Open

Ms YEUNG Tsoi Yi (Year 1, Computer Science and Engineering) obtained first runner-up in the CUHK Tennis Open tournament (Women's Singles) organised by the Physical Education Unit on 6 November 2022.

CUHK Rowing Championships

Ms YEUNG Tsoi Yi was a member of the first runner-up team in the Women's 4+ competition in the CUHK Rowing Championships held on 15 April 2023.
