Communal Dinner Talks

College life was much enriched by the talks at communal dinners. The following captures moments in the talks in Term 1 of the academic year 2014–15.

Topic: Lifelong Learning: Curiosity of a Master Locksmith

 

On 29 October 2014, the College invited Mr Lee Chung-ho, a recipient of the CUHK Long Service Award 2013, to share with students his endeavour as a master locksmith. College students were impressed by his positive learning attitude and achievements in the invention of tools for locksmith.  Mr Lee also practices magic performance in his pastime, and surprised students with live magic tricks, winning a big round of applause.

Topic: Thanksgiving

 

To celebrate Thanksgiving Day, Mr Preston Chan and Miss Allison Needels, exchange students from the US and the UK, gave a brief introduction to the history and culture of Thanksgiving during the communal dinner on 27 November 2014. College students shared a time to be thankful for what they have and enjoyed roasted turkey together.
