The Sixteenth Honorary Fellowship Conferment Ceremony was held on campus at the Lee Hysan Concert Hall, Esther Lee Building, on 22 May 2017. Dr Norman N P LEUNG, Chairman of the Council, conferred on Prof Kenneth YOUNG, Founding Master of CW Chu College and Advisor to the Master, an Honorary Fellowship for his distinguished contributions to the University and the community.
The ceremony was a short but solemn one. Each of the six acclaimed awardees was introduced by a citation before being bestowed the fellowship. Prof Christopher GANE, Dean of the Faculty of Law, wrote and delivered the citation for Prof YOUNG, in which he praised Prof YOUNG for his commitment to CUHK and to education, for his modesty, as manifested in Prof YOUNG's humble understatement of his achievements in his career in academia when asked about his success, and for his 'ability to embrace change' as a leader of the University and a newly founded college, CW Chu College. Let us all take this opportunity to congratulate Prof YOUNG upon his newly conferred Honorary Fellowship, and thank him for his contributions to the College since its inception.
