The history of Chinese Ceramics is a long one. As an indispensable part of the nation's excellent cultural heritage, ceramics have witnessed the development of China's science, technology and culture and its cultural-economic exchanges with other civilisations. The exhibition features a fine selection of ceramics dating from the Neolithic to the late Qing period from the Art Museum's collection. Thanks to the support of generous donors over the years, the Art Museum has been able to acquire a comprehensive collection of ceramics, and over 200 pieces will be on display in phases at the exhibition. It is our hope that the exhibition will facilitate further teaching and research through actual objects and provide our visitors with a better understanding of the development of Chinese culture through ceramics.
