| SBS Summer Research Internship Programme 2013 | |

In order to provide medical students with more opportunities for exposure to real research environment, our School continued to offer the Summer Research Internship Programme between June and July 2013. Same as previous years, the Programme aimed to admit Year 1 medical students who were genuinely interested in conducting research. This year, 16 students were selected out of 30 applications. During the internship period, they were assigned to the projects they had chosen under the supervision of our investigators. On 30 August 2013, a concluding tea party was organized during which Dr. Owen Ko, a CUHK Year 3 medical student whose research findings were published in Nature (April 2013), was invited to share his research experience with the fellow students. One of the participating students also shared her perception of and experience derived from the Programme. Certificates were presented to the students who successfully completed the Programme. |
