First Term (2017-18)

1.    Telling CUHK Stories (organized by I·CARE Centre for Whole-person Development)

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is well-known with its spectacular scenery, overlooking Tolo Harbour, our verdant campus has many historical stories behind. This year,  I·CARE Centre for Whole-person Development is going to launch several campus tours in September, emphasizing on social and civic engagement components of the life of CUHK students in the last decades.

2.    Art Museum (CUHK)

Guided tour of 'History of Gold: Masterpieces from Shaanxi' exhibition.

3.    Independent Learning Centre (CUHK)

Guided tour introducing the independent learning resources and various learning opportunities offered by the Independent Learning Centre.

4.    Hong Kong Museum of History

Guided tour of 'The Hong Kong Story' permanent exhibition and visiting the 'Longevity and Virtues: Birthday Celebrations of the Qing Emperors and Empress Dowagers' special exhibition.

5.    Hong Kong Observatory

Guided tour introducing the history and work of Hong Kong Observatory, and understand how the weather forecast are made using meteorological instruments.

6.    Dialogue in the Dark Tour

In this specially constructed pitch-black exhibition, professionally trained visually-impaired tour guides lead the sighted to 'see' the world in a unique and inspirational way.

During the 75-minute tour, you will visit five different, authentic settings. Each environment has its own unique texture, sound, smell and even taste. Be prepared to have your senses heightened as you explore these foreign yet familiar places without the help of your eyes.

The dark exhibition is a unique and unforgettable journey that brings you not only excitement but also challenges your perception towards the visually-impaired, and towards the way you use your sense in your daily life.

7.    Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Guided tour introducing the work of Hong Kong Monetary Authority, as well as the history and development of money and banking in Hong Kong.

8.    Hong Kong Legislative Council

Guided tour introducing the work of Legislature, the conference and education facilities in the Legislative Council Complex, together with learning activities.

Limited quotas for students on a first-come, first-served basis and priority will be given to new students. Please register as soon as possible!
