The 5th CUHK International Symposium on Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine was successfully held at the Prince of Wales Hospital on 12 November 2015. The Symposium was jointly organized by the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, CUHK; the Stem Cell and Regeneration Program, School of Biomedical Sciences, CUHK; the Sports Medicine And Regenerative Technology (SMART) Program, Lui Che Woo Institute of Innovative Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK; Musculoskeletal Regeneration Research Network (MRN); and the MOE Key Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine (CUHK-Jinan University). Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of School of Biomedical Sciences and Prof. Wan Chao, Associate Professor of our School served on the Organizing Committee for the Symposium as the Co-Chair and member, respectively. Over 25 international scientists were invited as speakers for the Symposium and the response was overwhelming with over 150 participants attending the event. This was the fifth year of the Symposium and it has become an annual highlight in the fields of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Most important of all, it serves as an effective and fruitful platform for basic scientists and clinicians to share their experiences and latest research findings in the areas. The 6th CUHK International Symposium on Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine will be held in November 2016 in Hong Kong. The Symposium Programme can be viewed HERE.
