The social and civic services to be considered for the Outstanding Performance Awards for Students of I·CARE Programme consist of three areas (see below). At the end of each academic year, this Centre nominates a maximum of four candidates from each area (i.e. a total of or less than 12 for three areas) to compete for the Outstanding Performance Awards for Students of I·CARE Programme. Six awards will be presented per annum, and the winners will each receive a cash prize of HK$1,000 and an award certificate.
1. Social Service Projects Scheme and CUHK Bridge to China Team
2. Community Research Scheme and Social Enterprise Startup Scheme
3. Local Poverty Alleviation Initiative
In 2018-19, nine candidates were nominated for the award. They had been screened by the judging panel, which comprises of Professor Joseph Sung, Professor Fong Wing-ping and Professor Emily Chan from the Steering Committee for Promoting Personal Development through Social and Civic Engagement, through either paper recommendations or individual interview. After taking the students' work and gains into serious consideration, the judging panel confirmed the list of winners of the Outstanding Performance Awards for Students of I·CARE Programme as below:
