From 1 March to 8 March 2013, first floor of Chan Chun Ha Hall was decorated with colourful t-shirts and delicate handicrafts. It was the annual Freshers' Fest that showcased Final Productions from the College General Education Programme - GESH1010 Orientation and Outreach.
Final Production marks the grand finale of this course at term end. It is for each year's freshmen to consolidate their experience in the course by exploring different forms and styles of expression, such as writing of different genres, drama, short film, or performance. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, six selected groups of students presented to instructors, classmates, College members and invited guests their highly prized products, including a reality show of hitchhiking and realizing strangers' dreams, a video game depicting life's challenges, and a pop-up book reviewing a journey of courage. Through teamwork and co-creation, students found their ways to express their in-depth reflection in relation to the freshers' agenda – My Dream, My Studies, My Career and Our University.
SHHO's College General Education programme comprises GESH1010 Orientation and Outreach and GESH4010 Work and Productive Life, with the former designed for freshmen while the latter for graduating students. |
