During the visit, Prof. Lee met with Prof. Cherry L. Wainwright, Director of Institute for Health and Welfare Research, Robert Gordon University, to discuss possible collaboration between Prof. Wainwright's Institute and our School, followed with a seminar delivered to academics and students of the University. It was proposed that Prof. Wainwright, together with Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, the new Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the Robert Gordon University, would visit our School again by end of 2011.
On 23 February 2011, Prof. Lee also paid a return visit to the University of Southampton, U.K., after its last delegation visit to the CUHK led by Prof. Don Nutbeam, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southampton on 11 November 2011 (details).
During the visit, Prof. Lee met with Prof. Iain Cameron, Head of School of Medicine and Prof. Richard Oreffo, Enterprise Officer, School of Medicine to explore possible collaborations between members of the "Stem Cell and Regeneration" Program of our School and Prof. Oreffo's research group on biomaterials and stem cells.
