Participation in 2015 CUHK Alumni Homecoming |
The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) participated for the first time in the annual CUHK Alumni Homecoming held on 28 November 2015 by hosting a carnival booth at the University Mall.
Prof. Fung Kwok-pui, Associate Director (Administration) and Programme Director of BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme, Prof Simon C.L. Au, Head of Teaching & Learning Unit, Dr. Ann S.N. Lau, Assistant Director (Undergraduate Education - BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme), Dr Willmann W.M. Liang, Lecturer, represented our School to greet the visitors including our postgraduate alumni, MBChB graduates, as well as their families and friends. The booth featuring the beauty of the novel orange florescent protein discovered by Prof David C.C. Wan and his research team attracted the visitors' attention. This was a precious occasion where our School members could see our graduates for a catch-up, and introduce to them and other visitors the latest development of undergraduate and postgraduate studies offered by our School, especially the coming launch of our first four-year, full-time Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences Programme with its first intake in September 2016. For the sake of promoting our School, every visitor was given a copy of our School's 5th Anniversary booklet that recaps the milestones in the development of our School and showcases our achievements made during the first five years since its formation in June 2009.
