Being one of the participants of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) – National Institutes of Health (NIH) Graduate Partnership Program, Dr. Sophie S.S. Liu obtained her Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2016 under the joint supervision of Prof. Chan Wai-yee of the School of Biomedical Sciences and Dr. Constantine Stratakis of NIH, U.S.A.. After graduation, Dr. Liu works as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, a world leading management consulting firm, and has been mainly engaged in the establishment of some relatively new healthcare and life sciences practice in China. Clients of Dr. Liu include top global pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and distributors. With her professional knowledge and business acumen, Dr. Liu promotes collaboration of different industries and enterprises, which lead to the creation of new products and services that ultimately benefiting the community.
