The Mentorship Programme of New Asia College has entered its 20th year. With the great support of the New Asia College Alumni Association (NACAA), both the numbers of mentors and mentees have been increasing throughout the years. This year, we have more than 160 mentees and 100 mentors. Many of the mentors, ranging from class of 1972 to 2015, joined the programme for the first time. The programme would not be popular and successful without the support from our trustees and alumni.

The Inauguration Ceremony was held on 24th October via Zoom in view of the pandemic. After an introduction on the programme structure, participants are split into different small groups for in-depth discussions. Mentors and mentees are matched according to their interests, expectations and industries.

During the Ceremony, College Head Professor Henry N.C. Wong and Chairman of NACAA Mr. Anthony Yiu welcomed all participants through pre-recorded speeches. Dean of Students Professor Terence Chong expressed his thanks to the mentors for their support, and urged the mentees to treasure this invaluable opportunity to get to know their mentors, and to inherit the “New Asia Spirit” from them. The list of mentors receiving the “Long Service Award” was also announced at the Ceremony. Although the ceremony was simplified due to the virtual format, the College would still like to convey our sincere gratitude to the mentors for their contributions.

Career Talks Day would be held on 16th January 2021. Mentors from different industries would be invited to share their expertise in multiple workshops.
