  • Man of Steel: Alumnus Daniel Lee tells how triathlon training has prepared him for life's unknowns

    Alumnus Daniel Lee is a famed triathlete from the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education. He was a full-time athlete from 1999 to 2011, during which he had won multiple medals, such as a silver in the 2006 Doha Asian Games, and being ranked the sixteenth at the World Championship and the top among Asian athletes in 2007 represented at the event. After quitting his professional sports career, Daniel returned to CUHK to be a lecturer and completed a PhD programme in 2019. He is now employed with the Hong Kong Sports Institute as an Associate Director, Elite Training Science & Technology, and provides training support for athletes. Read about Daniel's story.
