CCS Staff in the Spotlight: Professor Ling Minhua

Professor Ling Minhua joined CCS as an Assistant Professor in 2013. Trained as an anthropologist, Prof. Ling's research has focused on the experience of urban migrants in China, and her new book on the topic, The Inconvenient Generation: Migrant Youth Coming of Age on Shanghai's Edge, comes out in January 2020. We spoke with Prof. Ling about her academic trajectory, the advantages of doing China studies in Hong Kong and many other topics.
