| CUHK Vice-Chancellor Leads Delegation to Taiwan |
Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), led a delegation to Taiwan on 1 and 2 November with an aim to strengthening ties and fostering academic collaboration with partner institutions in Taiwan. Several agreements were concluded during the visit. Professor Sung also officiated at the plaque-unveiling ceremony of the Collaborative Clinical Research Centre jointly established by CUHK and Taiwan University (NTU). |

| Director of the Chinese Astronauts Research and Training Center Visits CUHK |
A 6-member delegation led by Prof. Chen Shanguang, Director of the Chinese Astronauts Research and Training Center (ACC) visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 13 October 2010. Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK warmly welcomed the delegation and an agreement for academic collaboration was signed. CUHK and ACC agreed in principle to establish a joint laboratory and to embark on collaboration in Space Medico-engineering. Prof. Qin Ling, Director of Musculoskeletal Research Laboratory of CUHK, was appointed by ACC as Special-Term Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Space Medicine Fundamentals and Application. |
