Subsequent to the recent signing of an MOU on academic exchange in the areas of humanities and social sciences, a 10-member delegation from the National Central University (NCU), headed by Prof. Chiang Wei-ling, Acting President, visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to discuss academic cooperation on June 19. The delegation included faculty deans, directors, and senior administrators from NCU.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) launched a summer placement programme for the Mainland postgraduate students, which will be held from June 23 to August 2. The programme, coordinated by the Office of Academic Links (China), is aimed at forging research collaboration between the Mainland and Hong Kong, as well as facilitating exchanges between research students of the two places.

Prof. Xu Ningsheng, Vice-President of Sun Yat-sen University and Ms. Ou Yanhua, Office of Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs, visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on June 12.

A delegation from the National University of Tainan (NUTN) led by Prof. Yin Mei-chun, Vice President of NUTN, visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on June 17. Members of the delegation, including Prof. Simon C. Li, Head of Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, Hsieh Li-hsueh, Chairperson of Department of English were received by Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK Prof. Jack Cheng and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Office of Academic Links (China). Prof. Cheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the university. After that, a campus tour was conducted for the delegation.

On June 17, Prof. Jack Cheng , Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Jia Jian-min of the Department of Marketing of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), met a delegation from Southwest Jiaotong University. Members of the delegation included Prof. Qian Qing-quan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Prof. Xu Xing-yan, Director of School of Art and Communications and Vice Chairman of Research Institute of Chinese Literature in University of China. Ms. Wing Wong, the Director of Office of Academic Links (China) introduced the university and the campus to the delegation.
