The 11th Seminar on Chinese Moral Education

Jointly organized by the New Asia College and the Beijing Oriental Morality Institute, the Seminar on Chinese Moral Education has been taken place since 2002 with the aim of promoting traditional Chinese virtues and moral education for the new generation. There is a specific theme every year, and around 50 primary and secondary school principals, teachers and education professionals from different regions of China will attend a series of seminars, discussion forums and pay visits to various organizations related to moral education during the 8-day programme at the College. The Seminar is sponsored by "Mr. Chan Chi-sun Chinese Culture Fund".

The Seminar on Traditional Chinese Culture 2013

Organized by the High School Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Education, the "Seminar on Traditional Chinese Culture" has been held since 2000. The Seminar is sponsored by the Su-Shu-Lou Cultural & Educational Foundation, and co-organized by the New Asia College, New Asia Middle School and Hong Kong Traditional Chinese Culture Research Council.

New Asia College/Yale University Summer Community Service Exchange

New Asia College and Yale-China Association jointly established the captioned programme in 2002/2003, the main objective is to bring together students from different regions for cultural exchange, and to achieve a better understanding towards the different approaches in the provision of community/public services.

New Asia College/Hertford College of Oxford University Study Abroad and Cultural Exploration Programme 2013

It has been 3 years since this programme was first launched in 2011. The competition among the applicants has always been very keen.

Summer Study Abroad at Cambridge and UC Berkeley

This scheme aims at providing students with an overseas study opportunity in a renowned university to enrich and broaden their learning experiences and deepen their understanding towards different cultures.

New Asia College/Hunan University/Soochow University Summer Exchange Programme

This programme aims at encouraging cultural exchange between Hong Kong and mainland students. 30 participants from the Hunan University and Soochow University visited our College from 15 to 21 July 2013. While staying in Hong Kong, participants joined a number of activities, including visits to various units at CUHK, government offices and non-governmental organizations as well as attending various student functions.

Yale-China/Goldman Sachs Business Challenge

The 3rd annual "Yale-China/Goldman Sachs Business Challenge" was held at the College on 31 May, 2013.  The programme, which is jointly organized by the College, Yale-China Association and Goldman Sachs, aimed at encouraging future business leaders to devise creative solutions to social problems.

64th Founders' Day Activities

The celebration of the 64th Founders' Day of the College and the birthday of Confucius will be held from 29 August to 19 October 2013.  29 August 2013 marks the Opening Ceremony of the whole series of activities while the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony, Tea Reception, Banquet for Thousand People and Carnival Night will all be held on 27 September 2013. 

 

Apart from the competitions for various Heads' Trophies between staff and student representatives, the 13th "Happy Run" will take place on 19 October 2013. 

Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History 2013

The Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History 2013 will be held in November and December this year, we are honored to have Professor Luo Zhitian from the Department of History, Sichuan University as our speaker. Details are as follows:

New Asia Lecture on Confucianism

New Asia College has long been recognized as the leader in the study of Confucianism in the 20th Century.  Influence of our College founders, Ch'ien Mu, Tang Junyi, Mou Tsungsan and Xu Fuguan, has spread beyond the Chinese academia to the world. As renowned scholars in Confucianism, they have expressed great concern on the development of contemporary Chinese society as well as the relation of China to the rest of the world.

New Asia Chorus is Recruiting Members

The College is now preparing for the new NA Chorus, all New Asia alumni, staff (with family members) and students are welcome to join us. The Chorus will represent the College and give performances in various functions, such as Founders' Day and Home-coming Day.

Welcome to join The Alumni Association of New Asia College, CUHK

The Alumni Association of New Asia College was established in February 1954 by 12 alumni from the first 2 batches of New Asia graduates. Since its establishment in the 1950s, the missions have remained the same. It aims at promoting 'New Asia Spirit', building up a closer relationship among alumni and facilitating the development of our College. It also assists in enriching students' learning experience and is responsible for the publication of the 'New Asia Alumni' Newsletter.
