Delegation from Macau Science and Technology Development Fund
Led by Mr. Patrick Huen, an 18-member delegation comprised of members of Macau Science and Technology Development Fund, representatives from University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, and Macau secondary schools and organizations visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 19 August 2015.
The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; Prof. Liao Wei Hsin, Prof. John Lui and Prof. William Wong, Associate Deans of Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Anthony So, Assistant Dean of Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Huang Jie, Chairman of Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering; and Prof. Helen Meng, Chairman of Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. Delegates next visited the medical robot laboratories in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, and the Minimally Invasive Surgical Skills Centre in Prince of Wales Hospital.
Through this visit, both sides strengthened ties and communication with each other, paving the way to further collaboration developments.

President of Beijing Tsinghua Chang Gung Hospital Visits CUHK
Prof. Dong Jiahong, President of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, led a 4-member delegation to visit CUHK. The delegation met with Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, Prof. Ng Ho Keung, Acting Dean of Faculty of Medicine to understand the recent developments of the Faculty. The delegates also shared ideas and experience with members of the Departments of Clinical Oncology and Surgery, and visited various laboratories and research centres.
Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital was opened in 2014. Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, visited the Hospital in June this year. The visit provided an opportunity for CUHK and the Hospital to enhance understanding of each other and establish stronger links for further collaboration.

Visit led by Associate Vice-President of Nanjing University
Prof. Sun Zhidong, Associate Vice-President of Nanjing University (NJU), led a 5-member delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 13 August 2015. The visit was to understand more about CUHK's experience in campus development and management.
The delegation met with Associate-Vice-President Prof. Fung Tung and representatives of Campus Development Office (CDO), Estates Management Office (EMO) and Office of Academic Links (China) (OALC). After the meeting, the delegates toured around the campus to know more about relevant green facilities. Both sides took the opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas on the issues concerned.
NJU joined the Cross-Strait Green University Consortium with CUHK and Taiwan Central University (NCU) in 2011. The three universities agreed on consolidating university resources to drive initiatives that incorporate green concepts into research, education and campus development. This visit served to enhance the communication between the relevant administrative units to nurture friendship, implementing green concepts into sustainable development of university campus.
