Visiting Scholar Scheme and Visiting Student Program for Mainland China and Taiwan

 

The Office of Academic Links (China) [OALC] launched the Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Scheme and Visiting Student Program for Mainland and Taiwan Students to forge academic exchange and promote research collaboration between The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and its partner institutions. The host department of the University will arrange visit schedule whilst OALC will provide administrative support.

 

Applicants will need to seek approval from the respective academic or research units. OALC will next provide assistance to apply for relevant visa. The duration of the stay may range from one month to one year. Owing to limited supply of hostel places, accommodation is arranged outside the campus.

Liaison Offices of OALC in Mainland China

 

There are three liaison offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen under OALC. Each office has liaison officer to support CUHK's academic exchange with mainland institutions. Their main duties include planning and assisting in OALC and the University's academic linkage activities in Mainland China (such as visits, academic conferences, symposiums, student interflow and internship programs, staff exchange, alumni gatherings and recruitment talks), as well as coordinating regional promotional events and serving as an information hub to collect and disseminate relevant information.
