CUHK Delegation led by PVC Fok Visits Cheng Kung University
A delegation led by Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) visited Taiwan Cheng Kung University (NCKU) on 15 March 2014 to strengthen academic linkage and to discuss collaboration. During the visit, the delegates attended a medical humanities conference in NCKU.
Members of the CUHK delegation included Prof. Hsiung Ping-Chen, Director of Research Institute for the Humanities and Prof. Ho Pui-yin, Director of Leung Po Chuen Research Centre for Hong Kong History and Humanities. The delegation met with NCKU members including Prof. Hwang Hwung-Hweng, President; Prof. Su Huey-Jen, Vice-President and Prof. Wang Wei-Yung, Dean of College of Liberal Arts. Discussions were held on the possibility of developing collaboration projects in arts and humanities. The delegation also attended the 2014 Going Global by Going Local: Medical Humanities in East Asia Conference in NCKU, in which Prof. Fok delivered a lecture entitled 'Humanities and Training of Our Next Generation Healthcare Workers'.
CUHK and NCKU have established collaboration in academic exchange since 2010. Prof. Su Huey-Jen just paid a visit to CUHK to discuss on collaboration plans in February 2014. This follow-up outgoing visit of CUHK further deepened mutual understanding and expanded cooperation into specific collaborative projects between the two parties.

AVP Prof. Isabella W.Y. Poon of CUHK Visits Shanghai
The Preparatory Meeting on Network of Teaching and Learning in China (the Network) was held in Shanghai Jiao Tong University on 22 March 2014. Prof. Isabella W.Y. Poon, Associate Vice-President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) attended the meeting on behalf of CUHK.
Participants joining the meeting comprised the representatives of Beijing University of Technology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Northeast Normal University, Ocean University of China, Peking University, Southeast University, Taiwan University, and Tsinghua University (in alphabetical order). Discussions were held on the organization structure, management, funding and activities of the Association.
