Delegation of Peking University
A 15-member delegation led by Prof. Ye Jingyi, Deputy Party Secretary of Peking University (PKU) visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 22 July 2014 to learn about the student affairs service and financial aids to students in the University.
The delegation met with Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Hau Kit-tai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Raymond Leung and Ms. Irene Ng, Director and Assistant Director of Student Affairs; and Ms Fanny Yuen, Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid to understand the services and supports for students in CUHK. Visit was paid to the University Library where Ms. Louise Jones, the Librarian introduced to the delegation the Learning Garden, a popular student learning place in the Library. The University Library is a winner of several architectural awards since its completion of extension work in 2012.
Through meetings and discussions, the delegation obtained knowledge on student affairs, financial aids for students, student facilities in CUHK. The visit also further strengthened relationships between CUHK and PKU.

Delegation from Beijing Normal University
Prof. Liu Chuansheng, Party Secretary of Beijing Normal University (BNU) led a six-member delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 22 July to strengthen linkage between the two parties.
The delegation met with Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Hau Kit-tai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry N.C. Wong, Head of New Asia College and Dean of Science; and Prof. Leung Yuen-sang, Dean of Arts; Prof. Ni Yujing, Associate Dean of Education; Prof. Lai Ming-chiu, Acting Chairman of Department of History. Discussions were held on furthering collaboration in education, history and Chinese Literature. The delegates also visited the University Gallery to obtain more information about the development of the University.
CUHK and BNU established partnership since 1997. The visit enhanced mutual understanding and further promoted academic exchange between the two universities.
