5. Goodbye to CU Net-TV from 15 Jan 2015

It's about to say goodbye to CU Net-TV, which is going to decommission on 15 Jan 2015.

For Those Days with CU Net-TV in CUHK...
Serving all CUHKers since 2006, CU Net-TV has provided a wide range of live news broadcasts and education TV programs through campus network. It hits its usage peak in 2007 with more than three hundred thousand viewing sessions. It brings latest information and new knowledge to our viewers.

Goodbye, CU Net-TV
While time flies, there are more free video sites or internet television available to the public. The usage of CU Net-TV dropped continuously. In 2014 we have less than 150 viewing sessions per day from all the six channels. After reviewing the usage and seeing the high subscription cost of the service, the University has decided to terminate the subscription with the contract ends on 15 Jan 2015.

CUHKers could still enjoy other free and safe news and infotainment platforms, such as rthk.hk, news.now.com, i-cable.com, tvb.com or youtube.com etc through the campus network. If you have any enquiries regarding the decommissioning of CU Net-TV, please write to us at ITSC Service Desk http://servicedesk.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk .

Goodbye to CU Net-TV from 15 Jan 2015...
