The delegation, consisting of faculty deans, directors and senior administrators from NCKU, was warmly received by Prof. Joseph Sung; Vice-Chancellor of CUHK. Delegates also met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fung Tung, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Leung Yuen Sang, Dean of Arts; Prof. Wong Ching Ping, Dean of Engineering, Prof. Paul Lee, Dean of Social Sciences; Prof. Ng Ho Keung, Associate Dean of Medicine; Chairmen and Directors of relevant departments and research institutes, as well as representatives from the academic exchange units.
The delegation was given an overview of the University's academic development and research achievements during the meetings. Representatives from both sides took the opportunities to share views and opinions on overall collaborative directions and strategies. Discussions were held on a broad range of disciplines and areas spanning engineering, medicine, social science, and humanities and cross-disciplinary subjects. Specific plans were drafted to further strengthen ties and enhance academic exchange between the two universities.
In recent years, the University has been actively consolidating the existing collaborative efforts of CUHK in Taiwan and enhancing ties for future collaborations. The visit of NCKU deepened mutual understanding and expanded cooperation into specific collaborative projects between the two parties.
