Delegation led by Executive Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang University

A 13-member delegation headed by Prof. Zou Xiaodong, Executive Party Secretary of Zhejiang University visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 23 September 2013 to learn about the architecture and management of the University Library and teaching buildings. Delegation members included representatives from 12 higher education institutions in Mainland China.

Prof. Fung Tung, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced to them the development of the University. Mr. Ma Wai Kong of the Campus Development Office and Dr. Ann Chiu of the University Library led tours for the delegation to Yasumoto International Academic Park and the University Library , getting to know about the architecture and design of learning commons and management service of the buildings. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for CUHK and the delegates to exchange ideas in campus development and establish friendship.

Delegation from Taipei Medical University

A delegation led by Prof. Chao-Ching Huang, Dean of College of Medicine in Taipei Medical University (TMU) visited the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 26 September 2013.

The delegation met with Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Wing Yun-kwok, Associate Dean of Medicine; Prof. Diana lee, Director of the Nethersole School of Nursing; and Prof. Lan Hui Yao, Associate Director and Dr. Simon Lee of Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences. Meetings were held to explore collaboration possibility in medicine and nursing. The delegation gained more information about the recent development of the University and strengthened links with CUHK in research collaboration.
