Mainland Scholars and Students Celebrate CNY with CUHK Members

OALC organized a Spring Festival Gathering for incoming scholars and students under our "Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Programme", "Hong Kong Scholars Program" and "Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Student Programme" on 26 February.  Participants enjoyed the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year together with CUHK members in the University.

Members attending the gathering included Prof. Dennis Ng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; Prof. Wong Ching-ping, Faculty Dean of Engineering; Prof. Lai Pan-chiu, Associate Faculty Dean of Arts; Prof. Liao Wei-hsin, Associate Faculty Dean of Engineering; Prof. Lan Huiyao, Assistant Faculty Dean of Medicine; Prof. Pan Haihua, Department Chairman of Linguistics and Modern Languages; Prof. Huang Yong, Department of Philosophy and Ms Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China).  Participants shared their experience in CUHK and exchanged ideas of teaching and learning.

To forge academic exchange and collaboration between CUHK and its cross-strait partners, OALC launched the "Mainland China and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Programme", the "Mainland China and Taiwan Visiting Student Programme" and the "Joint Supervision of Postgraduate Student Programme" in 2008, 2011 and 2016 respectively.  The Office also started coordinating the "Hong Kong Scholars Program" in 2015.  Scholars and students from CUHK's partner institutions with collaboration agreements are welcome to apply.  Please click here for the list of CUHK's partner institutions for reference.  To ensure that the applicants meet the requirement of the respective programmes, please contact us before making an application.

Enquiries on the above programmes can be forwarded to Miss Lea Chu of our office at 39433225 or via
