President of Ningbo University Visits CUHK
A 7-member delegation led by Prof. Nie Qiuhua, President of Ningbo University visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 22 January 2013. The delegates were received by Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of the University; Prof. Andrew Chan, Head of Shaw College; and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China).
CUHK and Ningbo University established links since 2011 when a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing the Li Dak Sum Academic Exchange Fund for Collaboration was signed with the aim of supporting academic and student exchange, research and training between the two parties. CUHK students from Shaw College took part in exchange programme with students of Ningbo University in the winter of 2011 and summer of 2012. The visit further provided a valuable chance to exchange ideas and enhanced communication between CUHK and Ningbo University.

Visit of Vice-President of Peking University
Prof. Li Yansong, Vice-President of Peking University visited CUHK on 31 January 2013. He met with Prof. Fok Tai Fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Gordon Cheung, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China) to discuss varies collaboration projects between the two universities. CUHK has established partnership with Peking University since 1985. The visit enhanced linkages and partnership development between the two universities.

President of China University of Political Science and Law Visits CUHK
Prof. Huang Jin, President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), led an 8-member delegation to visit CUHK on 31 January 2013. The delegation met with Prof. Fok Tai Fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Gane, Dean; Prof. David Donald, Prof. Michael Lower, Prof. Eva Pils and Prof. Robin Huang of Faculty of Law, to enhance understanding of each other. Prof. Gane visited CUPL in 2011 and the Faculty of Law has started discussion on the collaboration with CUPL on student and staff exchange programs. The visit of President Huang strengthened the linkage between the two universities to expand new level of collaboration.

Deputy Party Secretary of Soochow University Visits CUHK
Prof. Jiang Chong, Deputy Party Secretary of Soochow University led a 6-member delegation to CUHK on 28 January 2013 to understand the College system and explore collaboration opportunities. The delegation met with Prof. Fok Tai Fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Shun Kwong Loi, Head of New Asia College; and Prof. Kenneth Young, Master of C.W. Chu College. The delegates next visited New Asia College and S.H. Ho College to obtain information on the College system and to understand the lives of students in College. Through the visit, the delegation obtained more knowledge of the University and established links for further collaboration.

Delegation from Zhejiang Province Human Resources and Social Security Bureau
Mr. Yuan Zhongwei, Deputy Director of Zhejiang Province Human Resources and Social Security Bureau led a 5-member delegation to visit CUHK on 30 January 2013. The delegation met with Prof. Fok Tai Fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Raymond Leung, Director of Student Affairs and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China) to receive updates of the University and its developments in student affairs.
