70th Anniversary Lectures of New Asia College (Upcoming)
In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the College, renowned guest scholars have been invited to host a series of anniversary lectures in 2019. Lectures to be held during the first half of the year are listed below:
New Asia College Lecture Series (Upcoming)

A. The 70th Anniversary Lecture of New Asia College cum 32nd Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture 

The Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture is endowed by the Mr. Chan Chi-sun Chinese Culture Fund. Professor of Chinese Literature of the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations of Harvard University Li Wai-yee will visit New Asia College in mid-March 2019 to host the 70th Anniversary Lecture cum 32nd Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture. Professor Li will deliver the following three lectures during her stay in Hong Kong:

NA Alumni Reunions 2019 (Upcoming)
Reunion dinner gatherings/activities for Classes 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009 will be held on campus this year. These reunions are occasions for alumni to recapture happy moments of their university life, share experiences with each other, and provide the College with advice on its future development.
Professor Michael Nylan Chaired the Yu Ying-Shih Lecture in History 2018

Jointly organised by the Chung Chi College and the New Asia College and co-organised by the Department of History since 2007, the Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History invites an internationally renowned scholar in history every year to conduct lectures and academic exchanges. This year's Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History 2018 was sponsored by Austin-Eminence Charitable Foundation, and Professor of History of the University of California, Berkeley Michael Nylan was invited to visit Hong Kong in November 2018 to share her views on Professor Yu Ying-shih's studies.

Art Exhibitions for the 70th Anniversary: Painting, Calligraphy and Seal-Carving of Mr. Ting Yin-yung
In January 2019, two exhibitions, namely "Inspiring Brush: Works of Ting Yin-yung Courtesy of His Students and Friends in New Asia College" and "Bonding Through Stone: The Seal Carving of Ting Yin-yung", were jointly held by the New Asia College, CUHK Art Museum, Alumni Association of the Fine Arts Department and the Department of Fine Arts in Hui Gallery. The two exhibitions were held during 8 to 24 January and 29 January to 21 February respectively.
Professor Lee Yun Woon Chaired the Second Talk of the New Asia College Cultural Talks

The Second Talk of the "New Asia College Cultural Talks", jointly organised by New Asia College and the New Asia College Alumni Association (NACAA) and co-organised by New Asia Middle School, was held at the school hall of New Asia Middle School on 12 January 2019, with Professor Lee Yun-woon as our speaker. The talk was titled "The Ultimate Story between Wang Xizhi and Lanting Xu", and was moderated by Mr. Yip Wing-sang. The lecture was very well received by the public and art enthusiasts.

The 67th New Asia College Graduation Ceremony

The College's 67th Graduation Ceremony was held at the University Mall on 15 November 2018. It was our honor to have invited Professor Ho Man-wui, former Registrar of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Honorary Fellow of the College, to officiate at the Ceremony. A total of 755 graduates were awarded graduation certificates this year.

The 15th Thousand-people Banquet of Hong Kong Asia Lions Club

Organised by the Hong Kong Asia Lions Club in collaboration with New Asia College, the Thousand-people Banquet was held on the evening of 8 December 2018. This was the 15th year that this large-scale charity event had been held in New Asia College. There were altogether 98 tables of guests, with more than half of the tables attended by senior citizens.

Mentorship Programme Inauguration Ceremony 2018-19

The Mentorship Programme jointly organised by the New Asia College and the NACAA had come to its 18th year. With the great support by the NACAA and the effort of numerous alumni enthusiastic in engaging students' participation, more than 230 alumni and students were enlisted to participate in the programme this year. Their years of graduation ranged from 1974 to 2013, which showed that alumni in different stages of life all shared the spirit of passing the torch to the next generation. The College sincerely thanks our trustees and alumni for their enthusiasm and support.

New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2018-19 Career Talks Day

The Career Talks Day of the New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2018-19 was held on 19 January. More than 100 New Asia College students and mentees participated in the event. The activity aimed at enabling students to obtain useful employment information through talks and sharing sessions, and to learn to get along with people from speakers' experience sharing.

The 40th Year Reunion of Class 1978
The 40th Year Reunion of Class 1978 was held at Yun Chi Hsien at 4:00 p.m. on 17 November (Saturday), when over 90 New Asia graduates of 1978 came back to the alma mater with their family members to talk about their recent happenings with their former college mates and professors on this joyous occasion. Participants took this valuable opportunity to revisit every corner of the campus together, including going to the New Asia History Gallery and looking for their names engraved on the graduate plaques at New Asia Concourse. Alumni from various Departments also went on stage to relate anecdotes within or without the campus in the old days.

The Head's List (Merit) / Head 's List (Service) and Student Achievement Commendation Ceremony 2017-18 was held on 1 November 2018 at Yun Chi Hsien on G/F, Staff Student Centre, Leung Hung Kee Building, New Asia College.
Genuine Communication – Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills

The New Asia College organised the Workshops on "Genuine Communication – Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills" in November 2018. The Workshops, hosted by professional trainer in communication and presentation skills Mr. James Bryce and sponsored by Dr. KL Wong, aimed at helping College students and alumni in better achieving:

CUHK Golf Day

The 14th CUHK Golf Day was held at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling on 23 January 2019.

The Winter Solstice and Christmas Party

The New Asia College Staff Association organised this annual event to celebrate the Winter Solstice and Christmas at Yun Chi Hsien, New Asia College on 20 December 2018. Staff members were very keen to sign up, and the 100 places were swiftly taken up. The new Executive Committee set up game stalls, and many staff members were attracted to the event and enjoyed a joyful party together.
