Government's Sixth Matching Grant Scheme

The Sixth Matching Grant Scheme has commenced on August 1, 2012. Donations received from August 2, 2012 to January 31, 2013 would be eligible for matching with the ratio 30% (i.e. HK$1 : HK$0.3) on a first-come-first-serve basis. We hereby call for your support by giving us donations through the Matching Grant Scheme.

The 63rd Founders' Day cum Scholarship Presentation Ceremony of the College was held at Sir Run Run Hall on 28 September 2012. This year, Dr. Chan Chi-sun, Chairman of both CUHK Convocation as well as the New Asia College Alumni Association, was our Guest of Honor.

New Asia College Donor Recognition Plaques Unveiling Ceremony

Ever since our 60th Anniversary in 2009, we have launched a number of large-scale fund-raising campaigns to support the development of our College. To express our gratitude to our alumni and friends of college for their generosity, we had the names of donors engraved on the "New Asia College Donor Recognition Plaques".

63rd Founders' Day Activities
|
The celebration activities of the 63rd Anniversary of the College and the birthday of Confucius were held from 19 September to 20 October. The theme of this year's Founders' Day was "Being Perfect in Every Way". The organizing committee wanted to gather all New Asians during the moon festival so that they could share ideas on Chinese Culture and New Asia spirit with various activities.

Spontaneous Attraction –Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills
|
In order to further enhance students' communication skills, New Asia College organized the "Spontaneous Attraction – Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills" in October and November 2012, and the program was well received by our students and alumni.

New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2012
|
The "New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China" was successfully held during 26 - 30 October, 2012. Ms. Tu Qiao, speaker of our lecture series, is a renowned author, director and journalist in the Mainland China who has shown much concern about the marginalized society and has been devoted to the uncovering of contemporary social problems in China with covert coverage.

New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2012-2013
|
It has been 12 years since our College and Alumni Association first launched the Mentorship Programme in 2000. Thanks to the support from our Alumni Association, the recruitment of alumni mentors has been extended to those who have graduated for 5 years or above.

Reunion Dinner of Class 1972
|
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary since graduation of the 1972 alumni, the "Reunion Dinner of Class 1972" was held at the Staff Canteen in the Staff Student Centre-Leung Hung Kee Building on 10 November 2012 (Saturday) at 7 p.m. The class was pleased to gather in the College and share their stories.

Reunion of Class 1982
|
The reunion of New Asia College Class 1982 was held on 17 November to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their graduation. Over 90 alumni came back to the College for this event. After enjoying tea and singing College Anthem at the Staff Canteen, the alumni took this valuable opportunity to trace their footsteps and revisit the campus to see the development and changes of the College. Then the group gathered at the New Asia Concourse to search for their own names on the plaques where names of all graduates were carved.

Welcome to join The Alumni Association of New Asia College, CUHK
|
Formed by 12 alumni from the first two batches of graduates, the Alumni Association of New Asia College was established on 7 February 1954. Since its establishment in the 1950s, the missions of the Association remain unchanged: to promote "New Asia Spirit"; to form a closer rapport among alumni; to facilitate the development of the College; to enrich students' learning experience; and to publish New Asia Alumni.

2012 CUHK Alumni Homecoming Day Banquet hosted by the College Head

Lunar New Year Party 2013
|
Jointly organized by the New Asia Staff Association and New Asia College Alumni Association, the "Lunar New Year Party 2013" will be held on 1st March 2013 (Friday) on 7/F, Hopewell Centre in Wan Chai.
