Prof. Joseph Sung delivers a lecture at the University of Washington.

With the aim of fostering knowledge exchange, Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, made a Fulbright lecture tour of major US universities and took part in the Russell Group – China Summit at the University of Glasgow, UK. Besides, a number of mobility schemes are open for application by faculty members and PhD students to promote international research partnerships.

News on Worldwide Universities Network activities

WUN welcomed two new members as the year just begins, raising its membership to 18 universities in 10 countries. They are the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) and the University of Basel (Basel). The new partnerships will bring significant strengths and resources to the network. In April 2015, CUHK will host the WUN Public Health Global Challenge Conference on Healthy Ageing. The Conference will bring both WUN and non-WUN academics and relevant stakeholders together to explore new collaborative research opportunities and sources of funding.

Prof. FOK Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, welcomes the new incoming exchange students.

This year, over 1,500 students applied to the Office of Academic Links for outgoing exchange programmes during the summer of 2015 and term time of 2015-16. Besides, CUHK welcomed more than 370 international students for their new journey in Hong Kong.

  • The Office of Academic Links (OAL) received 29 visiting delegations between 2 December 2014 and 26 February 2015. The delegations learnt about CUHK's teaching and research priorities and explored opportunities for collaboration with CUHK representatives.
