Alumni Reunions 2017
|
Reunion gatherings for classes 1977, 1987 and 2007 will be held in 2017/18. These reunions are opportunities for alumni to recapture happy moments of their university life, share recent experiences, and advise the College on its future development.

Reunion Events of 50th year Reunion of Class 1967
|
In celebration of 50th year of graduation for the graduates of 1967, a group of 1967 alumni has established an Executive Committee of 50-year Reunion of Class 1967. They are organizing a series of events to celebrate this significant year. Family members of alumni are also welcome to join.

Mr. Steve Lau Siu-ying chairs the third lecture of the New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2016/17
|
The third lecture of the New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2016/17 was held in the Sir Run Run Shaw Hall, on 17 March this year. Since 2015/16, the lecture series has been endowed by Dato' Wong Kwing-keung, our College trustee. It was our honor to have Mr. Steve Lau Siu-ying, our alumni and trustee of the College, and a famous entrepreneur, as our speaker.

Professor Benjamin A. Elman Chairs The 30th Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture
|
The "Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture" is designed to enhance academic and cultural exchange. Ever since Mr. Ch'ien Mu chaired the first lecture in 1978, it has become a well-respected academic event within academia, and invited speakers are all distinguished scholars in different fields of Chinese Culture. Since 2013, the lecture series has been endowed by the Mr. Chan Chi-sun Chinese Culture Fund.

Professor Peter WH Holland chairs The 3rd Yen Kwo-Yung Lecture in Life Sciences
|
The 3rd "Yen Kwo-Yung Lecture in Life Sciences" was co-organized by New Asia College and School of Life Sciences. The series aims to promote the understanding, essence, values and application of life sciences in modern society among the public and students.

New Asia College/ Yale University Student Exchange Programme
|
New Asia College and Yale University have been jointly organizing this exchange program since 1993. The major objective of the program is to enhance students' understanding of social, cultural and scientific issues in the two places. Dr. Raymond Wong has generously supported the program since 2015.

Genuine Communication – Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills
|
With the generous support from the Dr. Wong Kwai Lam Fund, the tenth intensive training on Presentation and Communication Skills was held in October and November 2016. The program was presented by Mr. James Bryce, a professional trainer in communication and presentation skills. It aims to equip the participants with fundamental communication and presentation skills, and to increase their confidence in interviews, presentations and daily communication.

New Asia Young Scholar Scheme 2016/17 – A Final Review
|
New Asia Young Scholars Scheme aims at promoting whole-person development among our students, igniting their passion for Chinese culture, and equipping them with sensitivity to social issues and leadership skills. Mr. Roland Lam and Ms. Wong Oi-yee have generously supported the program since 2014.
New Asia Young Scholars Scheme 2016/17 officially commenced in September 2016. Twelve New Asia Young Scholar Students have been participating in a series of events, including College Meetings, talks held by the College, and alumni activities to communicate and learn from professors, alumni and The Council of the College.

New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2016-17 Reunion Dinner
|
The Mentorship Programme 2016-17 Reunion Dinner was held at Yun Chi Hsien at 6pm, 11 March 2017. The College would like to take this opportunity to thank all mentors who generously donated their time and energy on mentoring their mentees and congratulates mentees who learnt a lot from the program. Many of the mentors are newcomers to the program. These mentors are concerned about student development and keen to contribute to the College. New and experienced mentors gathered together and shared their experiences with mentors and mentees during the evening.

20-year of Reunion of Class 1997
|
The 20-year of Reunion of Class 1997 was held on 1 April 2017. More than 180 alumni and their families participated in the reunion. Beside the dinner, the College also arranged a New Asia College campus tour for the participant, to explain the latest development of the College.

|
Lunar New Year Party 2017
|
Organized by Staff Association of New Asia College (NACSA) the party was held on 16 February 2017 at Yun Chi Hsien, New Asia College. Hundreds of colleagues celebrated together. The chairperson of NACSA, Professor Lee Jyh-An, gave his warmest greetings to all members and invited everyone to enjoy the delicious POON CHOI (盆菜). Professor Wong Nai-ching Henry, Head of the College also attended the party and shared the happy gathering with staff.
NACSA had prepared over 100 lucky draw prizes including a robotic vacuum cleaner and a Halogen Cooking Pot for the participants. A committee member, Mr Kelvin Cheung, performed magic at the party. The party ended with much joy and laughter.

2017 New Year's Gala
|
In the beginning of the year of Rooster, New Asia College and New Asia College Alumni Association co-organized the 2017 New Year's Gala at Cuisine Royale in Wanchai on 24 February 2017. Over 300 friends, alumni and students participated.
Mr. Leung Ying-wai Charles, the chairman of New Asia College Board of Trustees; Professor Wong Nai-ching Henry, Head of the College and Mr. Wong Ho-chiu, chairman of the New Asia College Alumni Association, delivered their welcoming remarks to the participants and also wished a prosperous new year to the College. The College also held a check presentation ceremony to express its gratitude to some major donors who attended the party.

Establishment of 2017 Class Coordinators
|
To strengthen the connection between alumni and the College, we have established a network of Graduating Class Coordinators since 2013. A number of 2017 New Asia graduates have been invited to serve as Class Coordinators with the goals of building and strengthening the connection between the College and alumni by promoting college events as well as supporting college's development.

New Asia History Gallery Saturday hours extended
|
The New Asia History Gallery will extend its opening hours to 4:30 pm on Saturday from June 2017 to facilitate public visit. New opening hours are as follows:
Monday to Saturday: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
Sunday and Public Holidays: Closed
