The 29th Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture by Professor Cheung Hung Nin
|
Professor Cheung Hung Nin, Professor Emeritus of University of California, Berkeley and the Emeritus Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, will visit New Asia College from late March to early April 2016 to conduct The 29th Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture. Professor Cheung will deliver three lectures in all.

Alumni Reunions
|
Reunion gatherings for class 1976, 1986, 1996 and 2006 will be held in 2016. The reunion serves as a valuable opportunity for alumni to recapture happy moments of their university life, share recent experiences with each other, and give valuable advice to facilitate the future development of the College.

The New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2015/16 (2nd Lecture) by Mr. Pun Ka-yeung
|
This year, the second New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2015/16 was held at Yun Chi Hsien on 29 October 2015. The College was privileged that Mr. Pun Ka-yeung, Simon, a young entrepreneur, agreed to be guest speaker for the lecture. Simon, who started a business in Guangxi at an early age and is currently the CEO of several food and logistic companies, delivered a lecture entitled "The Hard Thing about Hard Things in Business". Simon shared his own experience of setting up a business and managing the business in China with the guests and students. The moderator of the lecture was Professor Wan Yau-heng, Associate College Head of New Asia College.

New Asia Lectures on Confucianism 2015 by Professor Guo Qiyong
|
With the generous support from the Moonchu Foundation, "New Asia Lectures on Confucianism" was established in 2013. Each year, a distinguished scholar is invited to the College for around two weeks to deliver a series of three public lectures on Confucianism, with the aim of arousing interest among academics and the public. New Asia Lectures on Confucianism 2015 was successfully held last November with Professor Guo Qiyong as the keynote speaker. Professor Guo is the Professor, School of Philosophy and School of Chinese Classics, Wuhan University and Dean, School of Chinese Classics, Wuhan University.

Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History 2015 by Professor Wen-hsin Yeh

To enhance cultural exchange and academic research, Chung Chi College, New Asia College and the Department of History have collaborated in delivering the 'Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History' since 2017. Every year, renowned scholars are invited to give lectures, and the series has gained wide recognition from academics and the public.

Head's List (Merit) / Head 's List (Service) and Student Achievement Commendation Ceremony 2015
|
Head's List (Merit) / Head 's List (Service) and Student Achievement Commendation Ceremony 2015 was held on 6 November 2015 at Yun Chi Hsien. This year 341 students were awarded Head's list (Merit), seven students were awarded Head's list (service). Acting College Head Professor Chan Sun-on encouraged the awardees in his speech, and shared his study life with them.
In addition, the ceremony also recognized New Asia Drama Society for their significant achievements in various activities and competitions.

In order to further enhance students' communication skills, New Asia College organized a workshop series names "Genuine Communication – Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills" in November 2015, which was well received by our students and alumni.

New Asia Young Scholars Scheme aims at promoting whole-person development among our students, empowering their passion for Chinese culture, and equipping them with qualities such as sensitivity to social issues and leadership skills.

The New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2015-16 Inauguration Ceremony was successfully held on 31 October 2015 in New Asia Gymnasium. Over 200 friends of New Asia, alumni and students participated. The College would like to express gratitude for the huge support from friends and alumni.

The 64th Graduation Ceremony
|
The College's 64th Graduation Ceremony was held on 19 November 2015 at the University Mall. We were honored to have invited Professor Ting Sun-pao, Joseph, former Chief Curator of the Hong Kong Museum of History, as well as Adjunct Professor and Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the Department of History of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, to be the guest of honor. This year, there were 827 graduates celebrating this new milestone in their lives.

The Winter Solstice and Christmas Party
|
The New Asia College Staff Association organized this annual event for the celebration of the Winter Solstice and Christmas on 11 December 2015 at Yun Chi Hsien. More than 100 members enjoyed a joyful party together.
Game booths were set up in the table tennis room for members to enjoy, with a highlight being the hamper weight-guessing game. After Dr. Ng Chi-sun, the chairperson of the Staff Association delivered a welcome speech, the participants enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet and an exciting Lucky Draw.

40-year Reunion of Class 1975
|
The 40-year Reunion of class 1975 was held on 21 November 2015 at Yun Chi Hsien, and over 50 alumni and their families came back to the College and joined us at this joyous event. Ms. Chan Wai Ling Winnie (1975/Sociology) and Mr. Poon Kam Mow Eric (1975/Business Administration) were the MCs for the day, and invited a number of fellow classmates to share about joyful times in the old days.

CUHK Alumni Homecoming and Concert
|
CUHK Alumni Homecoming was held on 28 November 2015. This is the tenth consecutive year of organizing this alumni event. With the theme "Ten year‧Reunion", local and overseas alumni came back to the campus, bringing along their relatives and friends. Apart from the tour to visit new colleges, there are new programmes such as CU Cafe for connecting alumni and Alumni Seminar series presenting six authors from different colleges. The game stall hosted by New Asia College Alumni Association was popular with alumni and kids.

New Asia College Alumni Golf Association Achieved Breakthrough Results
|
"CUHK Golf Day 2015" was held on 14 December 2015 at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. This is the 11st anniversary of the event. Close to 100 alumni and friends of The Chinese University of Hong Kong participated in this event.

The 12th Thousand-people Banquet of Hong Kong Asia Lions Club
|
In collaboration with New Asia College, the Thousand-people Banquet organized by the Hong Kong Asia Lions Club was held on 15 November 2015 on the New Asia College campus. This was the 12th year that the event has been held in New Asia College. There were ninety-six tables of guests with more than half of the tables attended by senior citizens.
