Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture
|
Professor Yu Kwang Chung, Professor Emeritus of Department of Foreign Languages and Literature; Former Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan and Former Professor at Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese University of Hong Kong, will visit New Asia College from late February 2015 to conduct the 65th Anniversary Lecture & The 28th Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture. Professor Yu will deliver three lectures in all.

Alumni Reunions
|
Reunion gatherings for class 1975, 1985, 1995 and 2005 will be held in 2015. The reunion serves as a valuable opportunity for alumni to recapture happy moments of their university life, share recent experiences with each other, and give valuable advice to facilitate the future development of the College.

New Asia Young Scholars Scheme 2014/15 (A review of the 1st semester)
|
This scheme aims at providing students with whole-person education, increasing their knowledge of Chinese history and culture, and empowering them to become individuals responsible towards society as well as equipping them with qualities that contemporary intellectuals and leaders should possess.

Dean's List (Merit) / Dean's List (Service) and Student Achievement Commendation Ceremony
|
Dean's List (Merit) / Dean's List (Service) and Student Achievement Commendation Ceremony 2014 was held on 24 October 2014, Friday at Yun Chi Hsien. This year three hundred twenty-two students were awarded Dean's list (merit), sixteen students were awarded Dean's list (service). Acting College Head Professor Chu Ka Hou encouraged the awardees in his speech.

New Asia College Mentorship Programme Inauguration Ceremony & the "Personal Development Talk and Workshops"
|
The New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2014/15 Inauguration Ceremony was held on 1 November 2014 in the New Asia Gymnasium. Over 220 friends of New Asia, alumni and students participated. This year, the numbers of mentors and mentees are 86 and 203 and the College would like to thank friends and alumni for their fantastic support.

Genuine Communication –Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills
|
In order to further enhance students' communication skills, New Asia College organized a workshop series named "Genuine Communication – Intensive Training on Presentation and Communication Skills" in November 2014, which was well received by our students and alumni.
The Workshops, hosted by Mr. James Bryce, a professional trainer in communication and presentation skills, aimed at helping New Asia students and alumni in:
‧confident conversation during interviews, presentations and informally
‧fundamental communication and presentation skills
‧team dynamics
The four workshops were held on November 8, 9, 15 and 16.

The 63rd Graduation Ceremony
|
The College's 63rd Graduation Ceremony was held on 20 November 2014 at the University Mall. We were honored to have invited alumnus Professor Ip Wing-huen, Vice Chancellor of the University System of Taiwan and astronomer, to be the guest of honor. This year, there were a total of 779 graduates turning a new leaf in their life.

Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History 2014
|
To enhance cultural exchange and academic research, Chung Chi College, New Asia College and the Department of History have collaborated in delivering the 'Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History' since 2007. Every year, renowned scholars are invited to give lectures, and the series has gained wide recognition from academics and the public.

New Asia History Gallery Feature Exhibition: Ch'ien Mu Manuscripts Exhibition and Book Launch
|
A Feature Exhibition of the New Asia History Gallery showcasing manuscripts of Mr. Ch'ien Mu was held from 1st to 13th December 2014 at Hui Gallery. The Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition, as well as the book launch for Ch'ien Mu Xiansheng Shuxinji (A Collection of Professor Ch'ien Mu's Correspondence with his family members and students at New Asia College) was held at Hui Gallery on 6 December.

New Asia College Cultural Talks (2nd talk)
|
Co-organized by New Asia College and the New Asia College Alumni Association, the second talk of New Asia College Cultural Talks 2014/15 was completed on 10 January 2015 at the hall of the New Asia Middle School. It was our honor to have invited guest, Prof. Ng Ming, PhD, professor and researcher of New Asia Institute of Advanced Chinese Studies.

CUHK Alumni Homecoming and Popular Cantonese Ditty Gala Concert
|
CUHK Alumni Homecoming was held on 29 November 2014. Over five thousand local and overseas alumni flew back to CUHK, bringing along their relatives and friends. A wide array of activities brightened the day's programme, including Martial Arts Performance, Variety Show, Carnival Booths, Children's Programmes, Selfie Studio on The University Mall, College Tour by School Bus, Banquet for Colleges and Graduate School etc. The game stall hosted by New Asia College Alumni Association won the "Most Popular Award".

40-year Reunion of Class 1974
|
The 40-year Reunion of class 1974 was held on 22 November (Sat) at Mrs. Lam Yiu Ming Hall, Staff Student Centre-Leung Hung Kee Building, and over 60 alumni and their families came back to the College and joined us at this joyous event.

New Asia College Alumni Golf Association Achieved Breakthrough Results
|
"CUHK Golf Day 2014" was held on 17 November 2014 at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. This is the 10th anniversary of the event. Close to 40 group and individual titles are up for competition.

The 11th Thousand-people Banquet of Hong Kong Asia Lions Club
|
In collaboration with New Asia College, the Thousand-people Banquet organized by the Hong Kong Asia Lions Club was held on 8th November, 2014 on the New Asia College campus. This was the eleventh year that the event had been held in New Asia College. There were a total of ninety-six tables of guests with more than half of the tables being attended by senior citizens.

The Winter Solstice and Christmas Party
|
The New Asia College Staff Association organized this annual event for the celebration of the Winter Solstice and Christmas on December 12, 2014 at Yun Chi Hsien. More than 100 members enjoyed a joyful party together.
