It was our honour to have invited Prof. Tsui Kwok-wing Stephen, Associate Director (Research), School of Biomedical Sciences, CUHK to serve as guest speaker for the first lecture. Prof. Tsui gave a lecture titled “A Passionate Genome: Progress to Maturity of a Scientist”, which was moderated by Mr. Lam Chi-kong, Member of the Committee on New Asia College Cultural Talks. In the talk, Prof. Tsui shared with the participants how he embarked on a challenging journey to become a successful biomedical scientist in the past thirty years with a stoic, simple and passionate heart. 
 
Dr. Ng Chi-sun, Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Former Senior Lecturer of the School of Chinese Medicine, CUHK, was invited as a guest speaker for the second lecture. He delivered a lecture titled “Chinese Medicine: From the Perspective of Chinese Philosophy and Culture”, which was moderated by College Head Prof. Hector Sun-On Chan. In the talk, Dr. Ng began with the characteristics of Chinese culture, followed by Daoist philosophy, and further elaborated by linking up Chinese Medicine with Chinese culture and philosophy.
 
The lectures were well received by audiences from all walks of life, alumni and students, as well as students from New Asia Middle School. They attended the lectures either in person or online via Zoom. Participants actively engaged in the Q&A session and had a wonderful interaction with the speakers.
