The first activity under this series, namely the Talk on "AI & I: Where am I……and Who am I?", was successfully held on 18 October, with an attendance of CUHK staff and students as well as members of the public. Presided by the CUHK alumnus Dr. Chan Kai-tai (a specialist psychiatrist), the talk examined the unprecedented impact of the "Age of Digitalisation" on the humankind and inspired the audience of the meaning of life.
A fresh activity under the same series - the Remoulding Camp has been scheduled for this winter with a hope to provide participants with a pit stop away from their busy campus life for re-recognising themselves and tasting the mother nature. The camp covers a wide variety of activities such as farming and eco-tours during the day, and movie screening and forum in the evening. Prof. Joseph Sung, overseer of the I·CARE Achievers Programme, and Prof. Lam Chiu Ying, former Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, will also share their ups and downs and explore the self-worth with the participants in the quiet stilted village.
