Professor Cheung Hung Nin, Professor Emeritus of University of California, Berkeley and the Emeritus Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, will visit New Asia College from late March to early April 2016 to conduct The 29th Ch'ien Mu Lecture in History and Culture. Professor Cheung will deliver three lectures in all. First Lecture Topic: Reconstructing Cantonese: Grammatical Changes as Recorded in Early Missionary Texts Date: 1 April 2016 (Friday) Time: 11:30 a.m. Venue: Sir Run Run Shaw Hall, CUHK Second Lecture Topic: What a Map Tells: Language of 19th Century Hong Kong Date: 2 April 2016 (Saturday) Time: 3:00 p.m. Venue: Hong Kong Central Library (G/F Lecture Theatre) Third Lecture Topic: Words and Beyond --- Who's Crying Wolves?
