B. Launching Ceremony for New Asia Amphitheatre Extension

The New Asia Amphitheatre provides space for engraving the names of New Asia graduates, but the existing space would exhaust after engraving the names of the graduates admitted in the year 2015, and students who joined the College in 2016 or afterwards will not see their names on the existing engraving space. In order to carry on this unique tradition, the New Asia College Alumni Association (NACAA) proposed a feasible extension plan to the Amphitheatre, with extra space estimated to be able to accommodate needs until the year 2064.

The proposal was supported by the College, the NACAA and the New Asia Student Union. Fortunately, enough funding was collected for the project within a few months. The project has commenced in July, and is expected to be completed by the end of August. As the College is celebrating its 70th Anniversary, a launching ceremony will be held on the CUHK Alumni Homecoming Day on 16 November 2019.

Date: 16 November 2019 (Same day as the CUHK Alumni Homecoming Day)

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Venue: New Asia Amphitheatre
