New Asia College Mentorship Programme 2012-2013

It has been 12 years since our College and Alumni Association first launched the Mentorship Programme in 2000. Thanks to the support from our Alumni Association, the recruitment of alumni mentors has been extended to those who have graduated for 5 years or above.

Mentoring is a process of informal transmission of knowledge, experience and psychological support perceived by the recipient as relevant to his/her personal growth and professional development. The programme also enables our alumni mentors to give back their alma mater by serving as role models and leaders. It is hoped that they can help this generation of students to pave way to reach their goals and pass on the New Asia spirit. The Inauguration Ceremony of 2012 Mentorship Programme was successfully held at New Asia Gymnasium, Staff Student CentreLeung Hung Kee Building at 3 p.m. on 3 November 2012 (Saturday). This year, the ratio between mentors and mentees would be at 1:1 or 1:2. It is believed that this can help facilitate the guidance of the mentors. There will be 3 Career Talks in the 2nd semester this year (January and March 2013) and a reunion dinner will also be held on 23rd March 2013.
