The workshop was held in four days covering "Reflection on Poverty Issue in Hong Kong - the Vulnerable Groups", "Community Tour", "Global Vision of Social Innovation - Regional & Global Experience" and "Design Thinking" respectively. Apart from examining the causes of poverty, utilising innovative ideas for solutions, and conducting study of social innovation cases, participants also visited Sham Shui Po to look into the problems of homelessness and urban reconstruction. All of these activities facilitated the participants' ability to devise services or products which would better address social needs.
The Social Enterprise Startup Scheme and the Yunus Social Business Centre@CUHK will continue to launch a series of activities in the next term. Details will be announced in due course. Stay tuned!
