The College took part in the following promotional and school outreach activities from January to April 2012:
Academic Planning Day for Secondary 5 Students
The CUHK Office of Admissions and Financial Aid organized an Academic Planning Day for Secondary 5 Students on 14 April 2012. Over 1,000 prospective students and their parents visited the information booth of CW Chu College (CWC) outside Sir Run Run Shaw Hall, and learnt about the eight major highlights of the College. Three Introduction Sessions on the CUHK College System and CWC were held at YC Liang Hall on the event day. Prof Kenneth Young, College Master, and Prof Wong Shuk Ying, College Dean of Students, took this opportunity to share with over 150 participants the future operation of CWC and answer their enquiries.
School Outreach Activities
Prof Thomas Au and Prof Cecilia Chun, College Fellows, participated in the outreach activities organized by the CUHK Office of Admissions and Financial Aid on 18 January 2012 and 28 March 2012 respectively. They gave brief introductions on the CUHK College System and distinctive features of CW Chu College (CWC) to students of Belilios Public School and Marymount Secondary School on the above occasions. Prof Kenneth Young, College Master, visited St. Paul's Co-educational College on 1 March 2012, and had a sharing with S6 students who were interested in CWC's visions and admission details for the academic year 2012–13.
