| 30-year reunion for Class 1985 | |
|
The 30-year reunion for Class 1985 was held successfully on 30 May this year. More than hundred alumni and their families joined the reunion. Alumni gathered at Yun Chi Hsien, New Asia College at 3pm when current students of New Asia College took them on a bus tour of the university. They reminisced about their joyful years of study and learned about the latest developments of the university at the same time. Then alumni moved to the grassland in front of the Statue of Confucius for a tree planting ceremony and the New Asia Amphitheatre for photos. They enjoyed the campus tour around New Asia College, visiting Ch'ien Mu Library and student hostels. They also visited the Pavilion of Harmony and New Asia History Gallery. In the evening, over hundred alumni participated in the reunion dinner in Yun Chi Hsien, New Asia College. Alumni sang the college anthem together marking the start of the dinner programme. Alumni of the Department of History invited Professor Frederick Cheung and Professor Tam Yue Him to be their guests. Professor Tung Ho Suk Ching was invited by the alumni of the Department of Marketing to join the dinner. When the screen showed their old photos, everyone were thrilled and burst into laughter. Alumni from different departments were invited to share their stories. It is hoped that Class of 1985 will keep in touch with the college, support college activities, stay involved in the development of their alma mater and, of course, come back often for more reunions. |
