The Mentorship Programme is jointly organised by the College and the New Asia College Alumni Association (NACAA). This year, the College invited two Executive Committee members of the NACAA to deliver a talk filled with useful information on career planning that suited all participants. Content of the talk covered career positioning, CV and cover letter preparation techniques, and interpersonal skills and etiquette at workplace. A Q & A session was also conducted. The speakers were Ms. Sadia Liu and Ms. Anny Wong, who were both senior human resources managers. The students benefited much from the talk and kept actively asking the speakers questions afterwards.
On the afternoon of the same day, there were 10 workshop and sharing sessions, during which alumni from different professions were invited to conduct sharing on various topics such as their multi-role career life, practical job hunting skills, civil service employment tips, NGO career preparation tips, and sharing about various professions including medicine, cybersecurity, investment, law and secondary education. Among the diversified sharing sessions, one was about the speaker's experience of post-graduation extensive travelling and working holiday. The speakers included Ms. Coco Ma, Mr. Jonathan Wong, Mr. M. S. Tse, Mr. Eric Hui, Mr. Abraham Yam, Mr. Frankie Leung, Mr. Ivan Wong, Ms. Karen Lam and Ms. Vicky Ho. The participants and the speakers enjoyed in-depth interaction during the sharing sessions and the workshops.
The event was successfully concluded. The College would like to express our sincere gratitude to the speakers, mentors and alumni for their generous support and effort.
