Jointly organised by New Asia College and New Asia College Alumni Association, the New Asia College Summer Basketball Camp, themed "Best Friend", was held from 27 to 29 July 2017. Over 100 basketball team players from six excellent local secondary schools, namely CUHKFAA Chan Chun Ha Secondary School, King's College, Sheng Kung Hui Tang Shiu Kin Secondary School, Sing Yi Secondary School, St Joseph's College and Wah Yan College, Hong Kong attended this basketball camp at our invitation and got to know the New Asia College through stepping into the CUHK campus.

The college arranged the team members and coaches to stay at Chih Hsing Hall together for a taste of the hostel life in our "mountain town". Through a day-time campus tour, college visit activities, alumni sharing, and a series of basketball training and matches displaying the vitality of the New Asia College, the young people became better acquainted with the College's culture and features while having a taste of the college system unique to CUHK.

Apart from keen contests among the six secondary schools, a special Friendly Match between the secondary schools basketball team members on one hand and College staff and alumni on the other was held and became the highlight of the camp. With the gap between the young and the experienced reconciled, all players learnt from each other to improve their skills at this valuable occasion.

The "Best Friend" event was as fun-filled as it was. The College sincerely hopes that the young athletes have discovered at the training camp the magnitude of their own strength and the power of cooperation, and will develop their potentials and achieve in both academics and sports. May the friendship between the College and the young players be alive always. Till we meet again!
