Avin described herself as a passionate person who loves dreaming. Working in the research and education field, Avin meets a lot of people and deals with different issues. These experiences serve as a fountain of inspiration for her writing. She loves to try new things; unexpected outcomes thus follow. "I enrolled in an 'Introduction to Violin' class in 2007 simply because I thought playing violin was so elegant. During lessons, a story of a girl playing the violin popped up in my mind." Later, Avin wrote a fiction titled "Glass Forest" (玻璃森林), in which the main character is a girl playing the violin. Avin was even able to incorporate her knowledge about violin learnt in that class into the book.
She later enrolled in different art programmes of the School, e.g. "Oil Painting Techniques" and "Illustration Techniques" etc. She finds taking art programmes can help her relax from a busy life. "I can enjoy a free time and get away from reality when drawing," she shared. It also helps her find her new mission. "I want to have my own artwork complied into a book," she said sweetly.
