| The 11th Thousand-people Banquet of Hong Kong Asia Lions Club | |

In collaboration with New Asia College, the Thousand-people Banquet organized by the Hong Kong Asia Lions Club was held on 8th November, 2014 on the New Asia College campus. This was the eleventh year that the event had been held in New Asia College. There were a total of ninety-six tables of guests with more than half of the tables being attended by senior citizens. During the banquet, a delicious poon choi (big bowl feast) was served, gifts and red packets were given out, and entertaining performances were staged. Ms. Chan Ka-kai and Mr. Gill Mohindepaul Singh sang several old popular songs. The Chinese Music Society of New Asia Student Union gave a performance. Members from Hong Kong Asia Lions Club and some other guests sang the Cantonese song "Pearl of the Orient: Hong Kong". The banquet came to an end at 8:30pm when there was a faint chill in the air, yet the seniors left with a cheerful spirit and a lovely gift bag. The College took this opportunity to wish their guests a healthy and prosperous life. |
