| New Asia College/ Yale University Student Exchange Programme | |

New Asia College and Yale University have been jointly organizing this exchange program since 1993. The major objective of the program is to enhance students' understanding of social, cultural and scientific issues in the two places. Dr. Raymond Wong has generously supported the program since 2015. The theme of this year's program is "Authenticity and Modernization". As part of the program, a group of eight New Asia students visited Yale University from 21 January to 6 February 2017 and presented theme-related reports at a symposium at Yale. Yale teachers and students paid a reciprocal visit to our College from 12 to 25 March 2017, which included a two-day trip to Shanghai. During the Yale group's stay in Hong Kong, talks, visits to NGOs and museums and meetings with Legco Councilors and renowned local scholars were arranged. A highlight was a symposium held on Wednesday, 15 March 2017 in the Yun Chi Hsien, at which, Yale students presented reports on the theme-related issues in the USA. The symposium was very well received by staff, students and alumni of the College. |
