The 40th Year Reunion of Class 1977 was held at Yun Chi Hsien on 18 November, when over 50 New Asia graduates of 1977 came back to the alma mater with their family members to talk about their recent happenings with their former college mates and professors on this joyous occasion. Ms. May Cheng (1977/Sociology) and Mr. Anthony Yuen (1977/Personnel Management), the Masters of Ceremony of the day, invited a number of alumni from various Departments to go on stage to relate anecdotes within or without the campus in the old days. Participants took this valuable opportunity to revisit the campus together, including going to the New Asia History Gallery and looking for their names engraved on the graduate plaques at New Asia Concourse. A dinner banquet was held at Yun Chi Hsien at 7:00 p.m. that day, and Head of College Professor Henry Wong delivered his welcoming remarks. Ms. Anny Wong, member of the Executive Committee of the New Asia College Alumni Association (NACAA), was also invited to introduce NACAA's work and the activities they organised.

The 1977 Alumni Scholarship was established a decade ago with the donation collected at the 30th Year Reunion of Class 1977, and had since then been commending many students with outstanding academic performance. After 10 years, to commemorate this special occasion of their 40^th anniversary, Mr. Yip Wing Chi (77/Fine Arts) made 40 sets of commemorative Yixing clay teapots for charity sale to raise funds for setting up a 40^th Graduation Anniversary Scholarship Fund, which aimed to continue supporting New Asia students excellent in both character and learning. Each commemorative teapot bore a unique hand-engraved number at the bottom, and inscriptions of "cherishing 40^th" and "40^th Year Reunion of Class 1977" by Professor Henry Wong on the sides. An alumnus donating HK$10,000 or above to the scholarship would receive a set of teapot (randomly assigned on a first-come-first-served basis). All donation, without any deduction of costs, would go to the scholarship fund.

The College would like to express our sincere thanks to the alumni who generously supported this sale at the Reunion. Alumni interested in obtaining the teapots could complete this Online Donation Form, and our staff would soon be in contact to confirm donation details and deliver commemorative teapots.
