On running, students paid a visit to the supported hostel for the intellectual disabilities to acquaint with their buddies prior to the training sessions during which the two groups of participants had joined hands to complete the challenging tasks and hit the target. As for hiking, students and the ethnic minority youth gathered to learn basic mountaineering skills. They had embarked on a number of hiking trails while enjoying the beautiful landscape of the nature. Regarding the bowling team, students interacted well with the hearing-impaired persons on not only the athletic competence but also other experiences.
Riding on the principle of this Scheme which is to associate "exercising" with "volunteering", the participating CUHK students have successfully developed a serving heart and an understanding of the community. The self-confidence and perseverance of all participants have also been bolstered.
