Professor John Lagerwey's journal article "Lu Xiujing's Shoudu yi 授度儀: A Grammatical Reading" has been published in Studies in Chinese Religions vol. 4, no. 1 (2018), pp. 50-65. https://doi.org/10.1080/23729988.2018.1429140.

 

Professor Tam King-fai co-edited with Sharon Wesoky Not Just a Laughing Matter: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Political Humor in China (Singapore: Springer, 2018), in which he co-authored the Introduction to the book with Sharon Wesoky, pp. 1-12 and single-authored "Political Jokes, Caricatures and Satire in Wong Tze-wah's Standup Comedy," pp. 135-145. Additionally, he co-authored two book chapters - "Literature of Trauma and Reflection" and "Literature of Reform and Root-seeking" - in The Routledge Handbook of Modern Chinese Literature (ed. Mingdong Gu,  London and New York: Routledge, forthcoming in 2018). He finally also co-authored a book chapter with Chu-Ren Huang, Kathleen Ahrens, Tania Becker, Regina Llmas, and Barbara Meisterernst, "Chinese Language Arts: The Role of Language and Linguistic Devices in Literary and Artistic Expressions", in Routledge Handbook on Chinese Applied Linguistics (London and New York: Routledge, forthcoming in 2018).

 

Dr. Laura Pozzi  curated a digital collection for the University Library, entitled "The Cultural Revolution in Images: Caricature-Posters from Guangzhou 1966-1977". The collection is available at: http://repository.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/en/collection/crposter. She also contributed a chapter entitled "Humor, War and Politics in San Mao Joins the Army: A Comparison between the Comic Strips (1945) and the Films (1992)" to the volume co-edited by Prof. Tam King-fai and Sharon Wesoky, Not Just a Laughing Matter: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Political Humor in China (Singapore: Springer, 2018).

 

Dr. Tim Summers has recently written two articles: "The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at 20: Evaluating the Sino-British Joint Declaration" in Asian Education and Development Studies, vol. 7, no. 1, (2018), pp. 89-101, and "Chinese Investment in the UK: Growing Flows or Growing Controversy?" in Chinese Investment in Europe: A Country-Level Approach, European think-tank network on China, Dec. 2017. https://www.ifri.org/en/publications/publications-ifri/ouvrages-ifri/chinese-investment-europe-country-level-approach.
