LMS Review 2016 - What's the Next Learning Management System?
The license agreement between CUHK and the current learning management system (LMS), Blackboard will end on 30 Nov 2016. Therefore, a comprehensive review exercise is now conducted to select a suitable cloud-based university-wide LMS for the academic year 2017/18 and after. Here come the shortlisted candidate systems: Get Yourself Involved in the Review - Guided Workshops – Get Hands-on the Systems
Do you want to experience the shortlisted systems and voice out your thoughts? A series of guided workshops have been offered this Jul and Aug for teachers, teaching support staff, TAs and students. There are 2 more sessions this Sep for students and staff respectively. Grab this chance to join us: - Two-week trial – Test the Shortlisted Systems on Your Own
Registration is open at https://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/webform/view.php?id=1816012 from now till 9 Sep (Fri). You will have at least two weeks to try out the two systems until 23 Sep (Fri) at your own time and place. - After registration, you will receive two user guides, one is for Blackboard Learn SaaS, and one is for Canvas (cloud), describing these system functions and features.
- During the trial period, you are required to complete all the tasks as described in the user guides. On completion, you are welcome to try other available functions.
- After the trial, please complete a user feedback form. This helps us to know your need in these platforms.
- Open-to-all Information Sessions – Service Provider's Presentation
